BOBBY DEOL CONFIRMED FOR ANEES BAZMEE'S THANK YOU

The news has been out for sometime now that director Anees Bazmee's film Thank You will star Akshay Kumar and the pretty lass Sonam Kapoor. However, the latest update is that Bobby Deol has also been confirmed for a pivotal part in the film.

Anees says, "Yes. In fact, we had confirmed Sonam and Akshay way back, but then, there is this really important and pivotal role which needed to be filled. And that's when we decided to have Bobby Deol play the said part."

When quizzed for more details about Bobby's part in the film, Anees firmly states, "Right now, it's really early to go about talking about the character of any of the actors in the film. But, what I can say is that we will start shooting next month in Canada with Bobby playing a pivotal role in this romantic comedy."

Guess till then it's a wait game till the characters are finally revealed.

After the success of Yamla Pagla Deewana Bobby Deol has hit it with filmmakers. Now the actor has an equal footing with Akshay Kumar in Anees Bazmee’s Thank You

It is the industry norm. After every successful film, the market status of its stars is capitalised on in the next projects that they do. Post the box-office success of Yamla Pagla Deewana, producers of Bobby Deol’s forthcoming fims are thrilled, as there is a big market demand for them. He seems to have gained the most out of the biggest hit of the year as yet. The actor who was one of the leads in Thank You has now been put on a par with Akshay Kumar in all the promotions and publicity materials.

Explaining how the producers were forced to change their marketing strategies after Yamla Pagla Deewana a source said, “The combination of Anees Bazmee and Akshay is amazing and all the films that they have done in the past have been huge hits. Their last film Singh Is Kingg was a blockbuster. So, keeping that in mind it was clear that the film would be promoted as an Akshay Kumar film. However, with the success of Yamla Pagla Deewana, Bobby now finds himself everywhere in the promotions. Even the promotional interviews of the cast will now kick off with Bobby Deol in the next couple of days and the rest of the cast will follow. Since, Akshay is in Chandigarh shooting for Joker, he will join later.”

Bobby, who has always been reticent when it comes to promoting his films, has also learnt his lesson from the success of Yamla Pagla Deewana which also starred his father and legendary actor, Dharmendra and his brother Sunny paaji.

Another source from Thank You said, “Bobby himself felt that he should actively promote the film. An otherwise shy Bobby went all out to promote his film Yamla Pagla Deewana and he has realised the importance of promoting a film. Akshay Kumar and Bobby Deol have same territories that they are popular in like Punjab, London and Canada. While, even the trailer of the movie was initially cut with Akshay more prominently featured than the other, they reworked the promo a bit to satisfy Bobby’s sudden uplift in the market status.”

Director Anees Bazmee confirmed the change in the marketing scheme of Thank You and said, “Bobby’s market status has multiplied after the super success of Yamla Pagla Deewana. It is a marketing strategy by the producers to promote Bobby as much as they promote Akshay. Bobby is normally very shy but we are pushing him to go all out for Thank You.”

А получается, "Thank You" уже где-то предпоказан? здесь вот<\/u><\/a> очень подробно про него расписано - даже с рейтингом "3,5 из 5"

Бобби - в общем-то - хвалят: "...Бобби Деол вернулся после хитом в Yamla Pagla Deewana и он выглядит более уверенно по отношению к комедии сейчас. Deols всегда знали, действий (Только Дхармендра был известен как действий, а также юмор) уже научились щекотать смешно кости. Он обрабатывает как свет и эмоциональные сцены наилучшим образом. Он, возможно, не самый смешной из линий, но он в пределах границ. "

В последнее время очень часто стали устраивать премьеры для прессы и спецприглашенных.. И это - не исключение, фотки с премьерыв были еще вчера.
Ну три с половиной - еще вполне прилично, мне даже единица встречалась..

Akshay Kumar, who otherwise never attends premieres, certainly regretted making an exception for his wife Twinkle’s co-produced film, Thank You. The actor along with Bobby Deol was all geared up to attend the film’s premiere at Chandan theatre in Juhu.
However, the Mumbai traffic did not spare even the Bollywood A-listers, who had to ditch their wives and hitchhike a ride with an absolute stranger.
An eyewitness gave us the details, “Akshay and Bobby stopped a surprised passerby, on a motorbike. They hopped on double-pillion and proceeded to the much delayed premiere screening.”
In a Bollywood inspired move, a crowd ran behind the motorbike all the way to the theatre.
Anees Bazmee recalling the mayhem, told us, “It was a sight straight out of one of my comedies. We were waiting for Akshay and Bobby at Chandan, when we saw them riding into the venue on a stranger’s motorbike with a huge group of people running after them.
We had no clue what was happening, until the flustered boys told us that the road leading to Akshay’s house was blocked with traffic.”
After breaking traffic rules riding triple seat on a bike and that too without helmets, Kumar and Deol refused to go along with the elaborate plans made for the evening. Bazmee adds, “We had hired elephants to take the two actors inside the theatre compound.
Quite understandably, Akshay and Bobby were in no mood to ride elephants after the wild motorcycle ride .We just let the elephants loiter at the premiere as part of our invitees.”

А как-то я прошляпила это дело... Все время собираюсь и все время забываю. Да и потом - получается так, что я темку создаю, когда фильму посмотрю (не специально, так получается ), а эту фильму я (стыд и позор ) так и не досмотрела Не собралась.
