Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol promote their film 'Chamku' in Ambala

AMBALA: Sunny and Bobby Deol are hot favorite film stars of the Ambala crowd. It was revealed on Tuesday evening when Deol brothers arrived here for the promotion of their forthcoming film ‘Chamku’ here at Fun Cinema.

Fans of Sunny and Bobby started pouring in the ‘Galaxy’ mall located in sector 7 at Ambala City before hand the scheduled time. According to the mall management the star duo was expected to reach at the venue somewhere around 5.30 pm. The news of bollywood stars arriving spread like fire in the city and around. Fans of all ages rushed towards ‘Fun Cinema’ on their toes landing into traffic chaos on all the ways leading towards ‘Galaxy Mall’. Breezy cool Bobby and He-man of bollywood Sunny Deol entered the venue at around 6.45 pm on Tuesday evening. On seeing their favorite stars the crowed drove mad and un-controlled situation was created. Over excited fans irrespective of age and social status jumped over each other to just have a single glance of their heroes, to whom people adore watching in various movies on the silver screen.

Deol brothers looked dashing in black T-Shirts and blue jeans, the youngsters including girls and boys of the city were also dressed up in eye catching latest fashioned, smart outfits. A number of newly wedded couples were also freaking out in the mall to catch up their stars and had they been got a chance to pose with them, they would have delighted to fix that photograph in their most memorable wedding album. Youngsters and many other fans were ready with their pens and notebooks to get the autographs of the two actors from their very own region.

Talking to media persons Bobby Deol told that coming to fun cinema here in Ambala was a part of promotional campaign of their home production ‘Chamku’. Answering to a question Sunny said that now day’s producers, actors, directors all had to put their energy together to pull audience to the cinema houses. Heros and Masters were the next films to come out in the near future, they added.

On the other hand the mall management had not informed the police administration for the security arrangements in the mall premises to avoid any unto do situation. On reaching the stars there was all mess and haphazardness in the mall. The private security of the mall was seemed to be insufficient for the VIP visitors.

Deol brothers make a surprise visit

Those present at Fun Republic, Manimajra, were in for a surprise today when the two celebrity brothers, Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol visited the mall-cum-multiplex on Tuesday evening.

They visited the city for the promotion of Bobby Deol’s forthcoming film ‘Chamku’. The film, which will hit the theatres on 29th of this month, is a product of their home production ‘Vijeta’. The stars made a dramatic entry, interrupting the the screening of the movie, Singh is King. It took some time for the viewers to gather what was happening. The duo came in front of the screen to introduce the trailor of Chamku.

It is a film based on the story of a killer born and brought up in a criminal environment. “The real name of the hero in the movie is Chandra Kumar Singh. But he is called Chamku, the character which is played by me,” said Bobby Deol. “Chamku is a killer in the movie who goes through a turning point in his life, which changes him entirely as a person,” he said. The movie has Priyanka Chopra playing the female lead.

The Deol brothers also talked about their forthcoming movie, in which they will again share the screen space after ‘Apne’. “We are doing a movie together named ‘Ek, the power of one’, which will hit the theatres soon,” said Sunny Deol.

Mediapersons protest Sunny’s ‘rude push’

The visit of cine stars, Sunny and Booby Deol, at the local mall, Galaxy, here this afternoon turned out to be a nightmare not only for the actors but also for the general public and the media . The actors were pushed around by a frenzied mob of fans and bite-hungry mediapersons to such an extent that they were apparently forced to flex their muscles to make way for themselves.

As the Deol brothers drove into the Mall, it was virtually a free for all. While starry-eyed fans pushed their way to get close to the actors, mediapersons, too, followed suit.

In a bid to save the actors from being mauled by the crowd, the organisers brought them to a room and after almost two hours, they were taken out of the back door and driven away in a decoy car instead of their Mercedes. However, before they left, Sunny Deol apparently pushed a local journalist, leading to a protest by the media.

The journalists later staged a protest outside the mall and demanded action against the actor. However, eyewitnesses claimed that the journalists were “over reacting” as Sunny Deol had just pushed the “person” to the side to make way for himself.

According SP Sibasha Kabiraj, the complaint of the journalists would be looked into and action would be taken only after the investigation.

Meanwhile, earlier talking to TNS, Bobby Deol stated that this was their first visit to the city to promote a movie and they had never seen such frenzy at any of their promotional events. This is the first time that such a promotional event was being organised in the mall, which has opened only six months ago. It is also the first time that the residents of Ambala could be so up close and personal with Bollywood stars.
